In Proverbs 9 wisdom continues to be described in the “who am I” style, but something interesting happens in this short chapter: Wisdom and The Immoral Woman both suggest that one eat their bread and drink their drink. If one partakes of wisdom’s snacks one gains understanding, life, prudence, etc. If one partakes of the simple woman’s snacks one dies. I don’t who “one” is snacking with, but this one Jason Earls dude is snacking with wisdom!
v.4,5 Wisdom wants to make the simple wise.
v7 Speaking out to change the path of someone who consistently puts other down out of their own arrogance will cause them to hate you.
