The journey through Proverbs, “this go around,” has been great interms of God building me up on the proverbial comedic front. As a comedian, one who is in the business of using ones mouth/words, chapter 10 was filled with nuggets.
Verses 1,13, 20, 21, 31, 32 Lets us know the wise & righteous person’s/comedian’s words give life, understanding, it’s like momma’s china (has great value), and they feed many. But the wicked and foolish words do the complete opposite. As people hear Comedian Jason Earls, my prayer is that they laugh really hard and benefit greatly from my material/words.
This comedian, like all comedians, must work hard at his craft. If I don’t v.4 says a brother will be poor, and v 26 says I’ll burn the eyes of everyone who sees me. These to are not an option. Therefore, I must be diligent. In Louisiana this past weekend, Pastor Smith gave me the best definition of diligence. “Doing a LITTLE BIT for a LONG TIME ‘til something BIG HAPPENS!”
V. 29 was straight BANANAS!!!! Doing what God says, handling things His way, obeying Him, etc. is strength to the upright. What an encouragement to do things His way. It helps you keep going! Lets get it!!!
